Job purpose

  • Day to day management of the team of broadcast and VOD buyers; their daily output, campaign delivery and post-campaign reporting
  • Working with a lead board member to develop and expand the team of broadcast buyers across both Manchester and Edinburgh offices
  • Play a key role in shaping the Broadcast departments contribution to new business growth

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 3 buyers initially
  • Planning campaigns (TV/VoD), buying campaigns, managing and monitoring team output
  • Identifying / extending commercial value opportunities for our clients & our business
  • Relationship building with various media sales houses, incl. regular meetings and partnership development
  • Negotiate short term and long-term deal arrangements with various sales points
  • Working on a variety of sized clients, taking on responsibilities to manage those clients at different locations (Manchester and Edinburgh)
  • Working to lead is paramount, proven leadership skills are expected
  • Working to develop new business opportunities when required
  • Key involvement in client brief response process

Job Skills and experience

  • 5 years + experience, ideally with previous involvement in managing individuals or a team
  • Media agency experience is beneficial (specifically within an AV/Television broadcast background
  • Commercially Savvy
  • Negotiation skills
  • Motivated with a desire to play an integral role in shaping the agency as we continue to flourish
  • Detailed understanding of TV marketplace or a regional basis and Nationally
  • Good presenter of detail at both senior and junior level
  • Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail
  • Proven experience of working well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Prior knowledge of proprietary industry systems (incl. Addynamix & BARB) to develop solid reasoning behind all media decisions.

General information

  • Hours  Mon-Fri, 9am to 5.30
  • Annual holiday entitlement is 22 days + 8 public holidays + 3 fixed days between Xmas/New Year
  • Salary dependent on experience
  • Interview dates tbc
  • Start date for this role if successful – ASAP
